Why do we love this wine?
Some Champagnes are good. This one's spent thirty years quietly becoming a legend. The 1996 Krug is widely regarded as one of the great Champagne of the last century - not hype, just fact backed up by anyone who's actually had the pleasure. A blend of 48% Pinot Noir, 31% Pinot Meunier and 21% Chardonnay, decades in the making, delivering candied apricot, toasted brioche and warm spice in a glass that's less "celebratory drink" and more "genuine occasion."
