Why do we love this wine?
In the glass, it’s vivid and dark, with a juicy rush of red cherry and blueberry, a flick of red apple brightness and a dusting of chocolate and spice. There’s oak in the mix - fine-grained French, the classy kind - but it plays a supporting role, letting the fruit hold centre stage. Right now, it’s got that coiled, youthful energy. Give it a decant (or a couple of years in the cellar) and it starts to stretch out beautifully. The palate is plush yet composed, with a gentle tannin line that hums along long after you’ve swallowed.
