2x Atlas Wines Block 9 Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
A genuine Mofo favourite, this wine (and this producer) have become a beacon of consistency in a very unpredictable industry. Established in 2007, think of this winery as the cool, new kids on the block. What they don't have in age, they make up for in skill.
Welcome to one of our all-time favourite chardies. Crafted in small batches as they use only the most premium quality grapes, fruit for this particular chardonnay is sourced from the fantastic Woodside vineyard in Adelaide Hills. Balanced, bright and creamy, this lovely drop is a tropical bowl packed to the rim with melon, mango, peach and grapefruit. There’s a pillowy softness to the palate and a lively acid line that drives its long finish.
You’d pay $38 full price.

2x Twin Valleys Reserve Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
King Valley — Australia
Hail to the King! The king of white wine grapes, that is. True to it's Alpine home, this greets you with a swirl of citrus and stone fruit. There's a creamy element, too - something like peach cobbler or apricot yoghurt. Deftly striking a balance between richness and freshness, between full-fruited palate weight and fresh, energetic acidity. A delightful wine to say the least - this is versatile and friendly High Country chardy at it's best. Drink or hold.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Hesketh Small Batch Lobethal Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Stylish stuff. The Adelaide Hills region is known for producing delicate styles of chardonnay that manage to be both textured and lean. A slight minerality and pronounced natural acid line bring a refreshing, lighter feel to an otherwise dense and complex wine. It's about balance, intensity, freshness and expression of site. Try this one with creamy pastas - trust us!

2x Fetherston Iris Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Australia
This is a smart little wine, a smart buy too. Very much following the flavour profile of regionally expressive Yarra Valley chardonnay, this wine is tightly wound yet somehow extremely generous. Toasted brioche, roasted nuts and white stone fruits on the nose, the palate opens up with concentrated grapefruit and citrus and wonderfully textured notes of fresh cream. A super well-done wine that punches well above its weight.
You’d pay $32 full price.

2x Pyren Vineyards Tanwood Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Pyrenees — Australia
Delightful and approachable. Green apple, citrus, pear, a touch of soft vanilla. On the palate, it's crisp and clean but ripe and weighty, papaya and grapefruit offer ripe tropical flavours and aromatics. The acid is lively and vibrant through the finish. This is a perfect wine to have on hand all summer long, fresh, exciting, energetic, and fruit driven - it'll go with anything and it'll please anyone.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Cloudbreak Nouveau Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
A refreshing, zippy and elegant chardy with a creamy, malolactic aspect and pristine fruit. After a long day out and about in the sun, we can't think of anything better than pulling this belter out of the esky and sharing a bottle or two with the campsite. That's just us though, this wine also works if you're not camping.
A reviewer, who can't be named (Black Market - you know the drill), described this wine as, "impressive and enjoyable", and that's pretty much the whole point of this wine. Yep, it's made well; vibrant, juicy acid, pristine lemon and white peach and a slight creaminess from partial malolactic fermentation. But this cheeky little number is also a whole bunch of fun; zippy, zesty, refreshing and bright. This really is a great addition to the cellar, for when you feel like a chardonnay but it's a bit hot out for melted butter in a glass. This'll keep for another four or five years but as the winemakers say, "Made to be enjoyed!".
