2x Penley Estate Black Bull Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Guess who’s back and ready to go? One of our favourite Coonawarra producers, Penley Estate, has done the hard work to bring back this Mofo favourite. Aptly named, this robust cabernet packs a punch with strong, flavourful and classic Coonawarra characteristics we’ve all come to love and enjoy. Dark fruits of the black forest abound and surround the recogniseable cedary, minty core; while framed with superb mineral tannins that allow for youthful drinking while still earning a nook in your cellar over the next 10+ years.
You’d pay $50 full price.

2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine- and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Watkins Cellar Reserve Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Langhorne Creek — Australia
This producer might be a new name to some, but their time in the industry goes way back. As evidenced by this cellar selection, they’ve honed the art of crafting wines that stand the test of time. This is an all-family affair, with the new generation stepping in to take the reigns. They’re finally releasing some beauties from their back vintages, and we were quick to jump in and bring our mofos that aged goodness. Cabernet off their currency creek vineyards gave this wine the confidence to see it through the last 6 years, with more still to come. This is the kind of wine that greets you like an old friend. Instantly familiar and merry, sure to entertain you for hours.

Tasting Notes
2x Aramis Classic Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale — Australia
From the first whiff, it’s unmistakably cabernet: ripe blueberry, blackberry and bramble wrapped in aromatic herbs—dried mint, bay, a flick of thyme. Beneath, a savoury undercurrent of earth and polished cedar builds anticipation. The palate is a varietal masterclass - dark fruits glide through a frame of fine, chalk-dusted tannins, those woody herbs adding lift without stealing the show. There’s power, sure, but it’s measured; the acid line stays bright, the oak is seamlessly integrated, and the finish hums on with cassis, cocoa and a whisper of green leaf. Purple-red in the glass, classic at heart and beautifully composed, this is cabernet doing what it does best: purity, structure, length. As if we needed another reminder why cabernet remains the king of reds.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Redman Cabernet Merlot 2021
Red — Cabernet Blend
Coonawarra — Australia
If you don't know the Redman name then it is our absolute pleasure to be able to introduce you to what is, inarguably, one of Australia's best value wineries. The quality of wines coming out of this special little place punch far above their weight and can absolutely hold their own with some of the biggest names in the Coonawarra. This cabernet merlot is a mastery of understatement, well-balanced, with ripe fruit, regional minty notes and soft tannins, it might well be the dark horse of this entire case. A real desert island type wine, you'd have no worries having a couple of glasses of this each day for the rest of your life.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Clairault Wines Halley + Lex Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Margaret River — Australia
This is one of those bottles you keep coming back to because it delivers each and every time and always stumps people when you tell them how much you paid. Cool and gentle fermentations allow a more controlled extraction of colour, flavour and tannin while 10 months of maturation in French oak finishes off the wine with all the trimming's we love. The hardest decision to make now is what food to pair with it, take our advice, this has Sunday roast written all over it.
You’d pay $22 full price.
